Weather and Environmental Protection

Shrink wrapping provides fantastic weather protection for covered scaffolds and objects against wind, rain and snow. This is crucial for some projects that need to maintain a specific working environment for the work involved.

The use of scaffold temporary roof with side sheeting is the perfect set up for a shrink wrap project, proving a straight forward encapsulation that will keep workers and everything else underneath dry. This obviously has a positive impact on the workforce, enabling them to remain warm, dry and out of the wind altogether.

The transportation of goods such as boats/yachts and modules face several challenges on the road to delivery, mainly weather and wind force of the vehicle travelling at speed. Making sure the goods arrive un damaged and on time is something your customer will expect every time. Shrink wrapping your goods is the best way to guarantee success.

Humans have a huge impact on the environment, it is now more important that ever to ensure the activities and work we do as a collective race is as controlled as possible to keep the environmental impact low. In construction, harmful actives are unavoidable and without control contractors could easily contaminate rivers or damage endangered wildlife. Shrink wrapping your structure ensures that all harmful substances are kept within the structure, keeping the environment safe.

Other Scaffold Sheeting

When compared to monarflex or debris netting, the most well known conventional sheeting methods, shrink wrap is a far more effective product to use in public areas such as bridges, streets and walkways. As we talk about in our Contamination page, shrink wrap forms a sealed, drum-tight resistant skin around the scaffold which can withstand a huge amount of pressure. It acts as a barrier for both the internal and external environment.

Conventional sheets are only secured with cable ties or bungees, which are ironically designed to detach in high winds!

Shrink wrap guarantees a higher degree of safety to passers-by when an activity is being carried out; perhaps walking underneath the scaffolding or around it they still could be struck by stray objects that accidentally break through the weaker sheeting systems mentioned above. Furthermore the structure is sealed, so not even dust or worse can escape which would be harmful to people, wildlife and the environment.

Environmental Impact

We are proud to say that all our shrink wrap films are 100% recyclable!

Once a shrink wrap company has installed an encapsulation or containment project, it can be stripped down easily and taken to local recycling plants. Although it can not be re-used as shrink wrap itself, it can be broken down and re-used mainly in the agricultural industry on farms and in greenhouses.

As shrink wrap company, EnCaPS strives to keep our carbon footprint as low as possible, especially given as our product is made of plastic. We encourage all contractors and customers to ensure all plastics are recycled correctly so they can used again and again.
