Weather Protection and Containment Services Provided Nationwide
WHAT WE DO
We provide ‘supply & fix’ shrink wrap services Nationwide
The damage or delays which are caused by adverse weather conditions may incur significant losses which would drastically derail a project. All this can be prevented by use of our shrink wrap which is both secure and weatherproof.
Encapsulation involves covering the entire structure with shrink wrap sheeting and then applying heat to produce the “drum-tight” effect.
Since shrink wrap adapts to the item, it will wrap itself tightly around any shape or size, preventing water or contamination from coming in the internal structure.
Additionally, the weather tight encapsulation will provide favourable working conditions for the duration of the project due to maintaining a dry and warm environment, absent of wind.
Unlike conventional sheeting, there are no gaps; the welds are melted together to form one continuous, robust outer skin.
Some activities in construction, although essential to the project, can be very harmful to the immediate environment if extra care is not taken while carrying them out. Shrink wrapping ensures the public is kept safe and free from potential hazards when such activities are carried out.
To ensure this extra level of protection is provided beyond our encapsulation service, we can upgrade your requirements to our Containment package.
This service involves skill and expertise to identify potential problem areas and site specific risk assessments.
Containment activities include asbestos removal, grit blasting, demolitions and industrial painting.
Containments help in reducing worker exposure to the general public, adjacent building occupants and sensitive areas.
Shrink wrapping provides fantastic weather protection for covered scaffolds and objects against wind, rain and snow. This is crucial for some projects that need to maintain a specific working environment for the work involved.
This obviously has a positive impact on the workforce, enabling them to remain warm, dry and out of the wind altogether.
In construction, harmful actives are unavoidable and without control contractors could easily contaminate rivers or damage endangered wildlife.
Shrink wrapping your structure ensures that all harmful substances are kept within the structure, keeping the environment safe.
A key element for Shrink wrap installation is heat application with a propane gas torch, much like what felt roofers use. It is necessary to increase the temperature enough in the sheet itself so it 'welds' together to form one continuous sheet.
It also is necessary to 'shrink' the product to achieve a drum tight finish.
EnCaPS are one of the leading shrink wrap companies in the safety of the installation for both their operatives and the immediate working environments.
All shrink wrap is certified as Flame Retardant which is extremely important in the construction industry as it helps to prevent the eventual spread of a potential fire.
